Cue Sheet

A cue sheet is a standardized document filed with a performing‑rights organization (PRO) after a film, TV episode, commercial, or other audiovisual production is completed. It lists every piece of music used – including title, composer, publisher, PRO affiliation, exact timing, and type of use (feature, background, theme, logo, etc.). Production companies or music supervisors submit cue sheets to enable PROs to track broadcasts and distribute performance royalties accurately to composers and publishers.

Missing or inaccurate data can delay or reduce royalty payments, making prompt and precise cue‑sheet filing essential for all parties.
