A collaborative meeting – usually involving the director, composer, music supervisor, and picture editor – in which every scene of a film or episode is reviewed to decide where music will start and stop, what mood it should convey, and whether it will be score or source. The cue sheet, composer brief, and post-production schedule are typically finalized immediately after this session.
